Former Virginia Tech men’s basketball star Erick Green will be venturing overseas this season. He will be playing with the Montepaschi Siena. 22 of age and he still haven’t given up on his dream to make it to the NBA. This Summer Green had the opportunity to play with the Denver Nuggets NBA Summer League team in Las Vegas. He played to his full potential and was able to average 9.3 points a game.

Although, his game was outstanding the “ACC Player of the Year” was unable to earn a roster spot this season. Once Utah Jazz selected Green as no. 46 during the 2^nd round of the 2013 NBA draft, there was no doubt in his mind that his dream didn't come true.

But now he has been challenged with another setback. Indeed Erick should be familiar with challenges, maybe not a lot off the court, but on the court most definitely.

He could have just gave up completely when he found out he didn't have a spot on the roster. But somewhere in Green heart he still found faith in his dream. He knew that God wouldn't have brought him this far to leave him, so he’s going around his obstacles and will be playing overseas! Next year there is no doubt in my mind that he won’t come back stronger, wiser, and better.
